Our organization began as a group focused on celebrating and preserving the night skies above the ridges and coulees of the Kickapoo Valley as an International Dark Sky Park.

The rapid pace of light pollution shattered that goal, but we believe that our dark skies are a resource worth fighting for - for our sake and the sake of all the other species that call this area of the Driftless home.
